Benazir Nashonuma Program Enrollment:
The process to join this program is straightforward and easy. These BISP 8171 registration centers have been established in every district of Pakistan. You need to visit the nearest development center to register. After registration, you will receive regular checkups and health-related guidance. You’ll also be informed about the appropriate diet during pregnancy.
A monthly allowance of 2000 to 2500 rupees will be provided to meet your child’s needs. If you haven’t enrolled yet, ensure your well-being and your child’s by joining the program as soon as possible.
BISP Nashonuma Program New Enrollment 2023:
Pakistan currently experiences a high malnutrition rate: 40.2% for chronic malnutrition, 28.9% for underweight cases, and 7% for children with low height for their age. The Benazir Income Support Program has established a conditional cash transfer program called Ehsaas Nashonuma to counter undernutrition in Pakistan. This program allows families benefiting from its other initiatives to access improved health and nutrition services. The Technical Design Committee, formed by the Benazir Income Support Program Board, reviewed and approved this in the 34th Board Meeting.
Ehsaas Nashonuma Purpose:
The primary objectives of this program are:
- Preventing Chronic Malnutrition and Stunting in Children Under Two Years.
- Ensuring Healthy Weight Gain in Pregnant Women.
- Reducing Anemia and Micronutrient Deficiencies.
- Raising Awareness about Maternal and Childbirth Health and Nutrition.
- Enhancing the Utilization of Existing Health and Nutrition Services to Lessen Disease Burden.
Ehsaas Nashonuma Registration Centers:
Under the Benazir Income Support Program, the Benazir Nashonuma Program is distributing various foods and an allowance ranging from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 2,500. Women who join the Benazir Nashonuma Program are those who are already benefiting from the Ehsaas Program or the Benazir Income Support Program.
The government has established Benazir Nashonuma Centers, where you can receive regular checkups and health-related guidance.
Eligibility Criteria:
The Benazir Nashonuma Program provides financial support for pregnant and lactating mothers and children under two years of age in beneficiary families. This includes both pregnant and lactating mothers and their children. Boys will receive Rs. 2,000, and girls will receive Rs. 2,500.
To receive this assistance, women should undergo regular medical check-ups, attend awareness sessions on quarterly nutrition, and ensure their children receive necessary immunizations.
Initially, this program was piloted in 14 districts and has now been expanded nationwide following its successful implementation.
